To engage with the society and support local young talents, Nissan KSA collaborated with MBC Media Solutions to be part of the very first season of Saudi Idol and presented the show’s winner, Hams Fekri, with the All-New 2023 Nissan X-Trail.
Nissan believes in Saudi Arabia’s young talents and takes great pride in contributing to boost the vibrant cultural landscape, as the Kingdom is rapidly becoming a main cultural and entertainment hub.
The internationally popular singing competition series “Idol” launched its first show in Saudi Arabia in December 2022, with auditions showcasing the Kingdom’s best emerging singers. In January, the show debuted its first live episode.
Commenting on the occasion, Hatoun Bushnaq, General Manager of Marketing Communication, said, “We are happy to be a part of the platform that is giving Saudi Arabia’s young talents an opportunity to realize their goals. We are also keen to promote the Kingdom’s vibrant society as well as its thriving arts and cultural scene, in line with Saudi Vision 2030”.
Ahmed Al Sahhaf, Chief Executive Officer at MMS, said about this collaboration, “Our partnership with Nissan comes as a result of our commitment to providing the most innovative set of solutions to our clients. We enable brands to be a part of the most successful shows in the MENA region to reach millions of viewers around the world.”
Nissan had a strategic presence throughout the first season of “Saudi Idol” during key moments, starting from announcing the launch of the new X-Trail during the live opening episode and ending with awarding the winner a brand new Nissan car. Curated content was also created to maximize the brand’s messaging to ensure its successful reach to viewers around the region.
The star-studded judging panel of the show comprised four renowned Arab singers including Aseel Abu Bakr, Ahlam Alshamsi, Asala Nasri, and Majid Al-Mohandis.
Saudi Idol is created in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia and the MBC Group. The show contributes to implementing the Kingdom’s Quality of Life Program to increase local participation in cultural and entertainment activities and support new liveable lifestyle options to make Saudi cities amongst the world’s top liveable cities.
