The global jewelry Spanish brand TOUS has launched its new e-commerce in the Arabic language (www.tous.sa) as a new step in line with the brand’s goals and strategy to achieve digital transformation and better communicate with its fans and shoppers in the Arab world. The new store, which is also available in English, will provide customers with a prestigious shopping experience particularly at this time when e-commerce is highly demanded and becoming a worldwide customer shopping preference. The newly launched Arabic web store is highly responsive and user friendly to help customers buy their favorite items easy and hassle-free.
Commenting on the site launch, Sélim Chidiac, CEO of L’azurde Company for Jewelry – TOUS exclusive franchisee in Saudi Arabia said:” The Arabic web store launch comes in parallel with our group’s strategy to expand our retail operations in the Saudi market and grow TOUS to its full potential. It also perfectly fits with the Company’s digitization strategy to cater to the fast growing e-shopping demand in Saudi Arabia. The group has a very bold vision to become a major digital and e-commerce player within Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region”.
“The TOUS e-store is expected to become a famous online shopping destination thanks to its well-categorized sections including special collections of jewelry, bags, accessories and watches alongside high-quality technical support and customer service. TOUS fans in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world can now better access and purchase necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings amongst other items from the comfort of their homes.” Chidiac added.
As a global brand with an omnichannel presence, this opening is integrated into the growth plan that includes the coexistence between retail stores and travel retail, wholesale, and e-commerce points of sale. This approach allows TOUS to be present in those commercial locations where its client expects to find the brand providing wealth and jobs for the country.
Company’s third-largest market at global level
This opening is also in keeping with the brand’s firm commitment to digital transformation, omnichannel marketing and service flexibility, a strategy the brand has leveraged to post significant growth in the online channel internationally.
TOUS e-commerce sales rose by 72% globally last year with respect to 2019. This makes the digital channel the company’s third-largest market in global sales figures, expanding from 8% in 2019 to around 20% a year on.
In the last close of business in 2020, the company posted end-customer sales worth €318Mn and finished the year with 703 retail outlets around the world, focused on 45 priority countries to develop a solid and future-focused network and offer the same TOUS experience to all customers the world over, prioritising service excellence and consumer touchpoints.
