The 7th Emirates Family Medicine Society Congress 2024 witnessed the participation of prominent figures from healthcare authorities in the UAE, GCC countries, and the Middle East, alongside experts, physicians, and stakeholders in the healthcare and family medicine sectors.

The Congress emphasized the role of artificial intelligence and meta-verse in diagnosing and treating diseases, as well as establishing a comprehensive database to support healthcare professionals in making effective clinical decisions and enabling researchers to conduct fruitful medical studies.

The remarkable attendance at the conference underscores the success of the Emirates Family Medicine Society Congress in solidifying its position as a significant annual event for the healthcare sector in the UAE and the region.

Held in Dubai, the conference witnessed a notable presence of leading figures in healthcare entities from the UAE, GCC countries, and the Middle East, along with experts, physicians, and stakeholders in the healthcare and family medicine sectors.

Throughout its three-day duration, the conference hosted a series of extensive dialogues and discussions that emphasized the importance of disease prevention as the first line of defense. It also addressed the role of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and meta-verse in disease diagnosis and the development of personalized treatment plans for each patient.

Dr. Mohamed Farghaly, Chair of the Scientific Committee of the conference and Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Emirates Family Medicine Society, said: “This year’s conference focused on the vital necessity of adopting the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence and meta-verse, in the field of family medicine and the healthcare sector as a whole. He highlighted their ability to support healthcare professionals and family physicians, enhance treatment decision-making efficiency, and provide them with advanced diagnostic tools to elevate the quality of care provided to patients. He also emphasized the crucial role of these technologies in disease prevention and prediction, their ability to collect accurate data, and facilitate easy access to it when needed, leading to an innovative care model that combines advanced technological capabilities with human skill”.

The Emirates Family Medicine Society Congress 2024 continues to achieve remarkable success year after year, as part of its commitment to advancing the healthcare sector in the UAE and the region. This aligns with the country’s direction towards artificial intelligence and digital medical services, as the Ministry of Health and Prevention has developed a comprehensive plan to integrate artificial intelligence by 100% into medical services, in line with the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the UAE Centennial 2071 to transform the healthcare field provided to patients.
