LONDON’S ICONIC LANDMARK BATTERSEA POWER STATION UNVEILS NEW RESIDENTIAL AMENITIES IN BATTERSEA ROOF GARDENS

Forming the next chapter of Battersea Power Station – London’s electrifying new riverside neighbourhood meticulously crafted state-of-the-art residential spaces have been unveiled at Foster + Partners’ visionary masterpiece, Battersea Roof Gardens.

Part of a unique and architecturally pioneering building by acclaimed architecture practice Foster + Partners, Battersea Roof Gardens paves the way for innovative living, prioritising resident wellbeing through considered design and amenities. 232 studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments sit within this unique undulating building, which is next to the Grade II* listed Power Station, complete with high specification finishes and soaring floor-to-ceiling windows.

Building a sense of community and prioritising residents’ wellbeing, unrivalled amenities have been curated, which reject the traditional layout of the basement gym and spa concept, and offer a renewed, all-day approach to communal residential spaces.

Spanning a total 8,350 sq ft and set across the top two floors of the building, the aptly named ‘Sky Lounge’ offers extraordinary views of the Power Station to the north, River Thames to the east and Battersea Park to the west. The upper floor features a sunset bar offering a mix of healthy juices, alcoholic beverages, barista-made coffees and all-day dining options, whilst the lower floor offers co-working areas, a meeting room, cinema room, entertaining kitchen and lounge areas.

The interiors by Foster + Partners bring together contemporary design influences from the destination’s past, present and future. Industrial heritage meets a modern era as these spacious and flexible open plan areas seamlessly connect with one another, taking residents from day to night. The co-working space features a minimalist, light palette with pops of bright colours, designed to inject energy throughout the workday.

Meanwhile, the upper floor sunset bar combines modern design accents, elegant wooden features, dark hues and mood-filled lighting to create an elegant evening environment.

The ultimate work out with a view, residents also have access to a 2,500 sq ft, triple-height gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, and unobstructed views of the Power Station’s extraordinary brickwork and world-famous chimneys.

Meriam Makiya, Head of Residential at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “Neighbourhood and community is at the heart of Battersea Power Station, and the first step to establishing this is to create spaces which residents want to share and congregate in. This philosophy inspired the design of truly remarkable residential amenities, positioned in prime locations within Battersea Roof Gardens, so that residents can meet and enjoy the best of the neighbourhood together. These amenity spaces have quickly become extensions of each residents’ home, encouraging socialising, and creating a real sense of community.”

Designed to mimic the movement of the River Thames, Battersea Roof Gardens undulates in tandem with Prospect Place, a collection of 308 residences by Gehry & Partners, which together form Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street. These new homes will join the recently launched Koa at Electric Boulevard, a collection of 204 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, positioned to the southern end of Battersea Roof Gardens. Residents within Battersea Roof Gardens, Prospect Place and Koa at Electric Boulevard all enjoy access to the newly revealed residential amenities.

Apartments in Battersea Roof Gardens pay homage to the historic neighbouring landmark, a building that once produced a fifth of London’s electricity, with two carefully designed interior palettes that take inspiration from the Power Station’s Turbine Hall A and Control Room A. Aptly named ‘steam’ and ‘cloud’, each brings distinctly different qualities – one light and airy while the other takes a slightly warmer and more richly textured feel. Residents have access to their own private winter garden, with many also enjoying balconies with spectacular views of the Grade II* listed Power Station.

For international buyers and investors seeking an unparalleled real estate opportunity, Battersea Power Station presents an exceptional offering brimming with state-of-the-art amenities. With meticulous attention to detail, Battersea Power Station delivers the epitome of residential excellence, creating an ambiance that evokes a true sense of comfort. The array of top-tier amenities sets the standard for a refined and fulfilling residential experience, making even the most discerning individuals feel right at home.

Battersea Roof Gardens is also home to the new art’otel London Battersea Power Station and 50 Electric Boulevard, the new 200,000 sq ft prime office building, which sits at the southern entrance of the high street.

Residents can enjoy over 100 shops, restaurants and bars now open across the riverside neighbourhood, located inside and around the newly opened Grade II* listed Power Station.  Further openings will take place throughout 2023 including a 24,000 sq ft Arcade Food Hall and London fitness brand, Third Space.

Battersea Power Station is only 15 minutes from the West End and the City via the Zone 1 Battersea Power Station Underground station.
