Huawei creates a “tech oasis” to light up MWC 2023 with innovative experiences

Huawei Consumer BG showcased their innovative technologies, flagship products, ecosystem, etc. At the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023), held in Barcelona from February 27 to March 2, 2023. With “GUIDE to the Intelligent World” as the theme, the exhibition area of Huawei Consumer BG is designed after the global high-end flagship store to create a “tech oasis” for an immersive experience integrating smart technology and trendy life scenarios.

The diverse range of innovative products showcased at the exhibition include HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro, HUAWEI WATCH Buds and HUAWEI WATCH GT Cyber. Huawei also held brand and technology exchange activities, in-depth conversations with global industry and ecological partners, and demonstrations of their latest innovations and future strategies.

Smartphone innovations including HUAWEI Mate50 Series and more

In 2022, Huawei maintained the lead in smartphone innovation with the breakthrough of the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2, well-received HUAWEI Mate50 Pro, and the stylish HUAWEI nova 10 Series. At MWC 2023, these leading-edge products were on display to demonstrate Huawei’s imaging capabilities, leading folding technology, and understanding of the needs of younger users.

The HUAWEI Mate50 Series leads the way with several breakthroughs. From the XMAGE imaging system to the ultra-reliable Kunlun Glass, it delivers the ultimate technological innovation experience. The ultra-light, ultra-flat, and super durable HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 propels the folding screen mobile phone to a new level. HUAWEI nova 10 Series continues leading the innovation of smartphone selfie camera imaging technology, providing features such as Portrait Close-up Camera, Front Dual-View Video, and Showcase Focus Front Camera.

Huawei continues to promote the development of advanced mobile camera imaging technology. On February 26, during the HUAWEI XMAGE Salon in Barcelona held by Huawei, it unveiled the “HUAWEI XMAGE Trend Report 2023” and invited experts to discuss research results and explore the evolving relationship between technology and creators. 

Various smartwatches unveiled, exploring new directions for the development of wearable technology

Last year, Huawei smart wearables continued to bring improved product experience to consumers worldwide through innovations in design, manufacturing process, and software and hardware functions.

At this year’s MWC, Huawei launched two innovative wearable products, demonstrating state-of-the-art innovations in wearable technology. Earbuds and Watch Come into One with the HUAWEI WATCH Buds smartwatch combining the features of TWS earbuds and a smartwatch, offering users enhanced convenience by integrating these two devices into a single unit. HUAWEI WATCH GT Cyber offers Quick-to-Change watch case smartwatch designed to meet the multi-scenario needs of young users and their desire for self-expression. The HUAWEI WATCH Buds is coming soon to the Saudi Arabia market where consumers will be enticed by the all-new and innovative wearable without a shred of doubt.

In addition to its highly innovative hardware products, Huawei has made breakthroughs in the software capabilities. Through self-developed innovations such as HUAWEI TruSeen™, HUAWEI TruSport™, HUAWEI TruSleep™, Huawei’s wearables deliver professional health and exercise monitoring for users globally.

Huawei leads the number of global patent applications, and has achieved impressive results in intellectual property strategy. According to data released by IFI CLAIMS Patent Services, a global patent database provider, Huawei saw steady patent applications in the past two years, rising from ninth in 2020 to fourth in 2022. Having achieved 2836 patents, an increase of 2%, Huawei has become one of the largest patent holders globally. In the past decade, it has invested more than RMB 845 billion in R&D expenses. It has held more than 45,000 valid authorised patent families (over 110,000 pieces) worldwide, with over 90% of the patents being invention patents, and its patent value has been fully recognised by the industry.
