VOX Cinemas introduces new ticket pricing initiative in Saudi Arabia

VOX Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, introduced a new ticket pricing initiative which was rolled out across Standard experiences at all of its 15 cinemas in Saudi Arabia last week (23 February 2023). Under the two-tier pricing strategy, a Premium View ticket has been reduced from SAR54 to SAR45 and Standard View, which was previously SAR 45, is now SAR35, making it the best value cinema ticket in the Kingdom.

In line with its customer-centric culture, VOX Cinemas is offering moviegoers a consistent price at its Standard experience in Saudi Arabia regardless of the showtime, cinema location or movie.

Mohamed Al Hashemi, Country Head, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment & Lifestyle said, “Cinema has an incredible ability to bring communities together to enjoy a shared cultural experience. Since launching almost five years ago, VOX Cinemas has been dedicated to making our innovative and immersive cinema experiences accessible to everyone across Saudi Arabia, even in remote cities such as Hail, Tabuk and Jubail. Building on this commitment, we are now offering cinema lovers the most affordable movie ticket in the Kingdom, enabling an even wider audience to enjoy the magic of movies. We also provide a wide array of experiences including GOLD and IMAX amongst others to cater to our diverse guests’ needs and preferences.”

Since the reopening of cinemas in 2018, VOX Cinemas has built a strong infrastructure of cinemas integrated with leisure and entertainment across the Kingdom with a total of 154 screens in 15 cinemas across six cities. VOX Cinemas was the first exhibitor to introduce multiplexes in all six cities. Having established a presence in Riyadh and Jeddah, VOX Cinemas intensified its efforts to improve access to entertainment in smaller cities and brought the magic of movies and entertainment to Hail, Tabuk and Jubail for the first time in line with its commitment to realise the goals of Vision 2030 and support the Quality of Life Programme by enhancing participation in cultural and entertainment activities.
