Mamo Michelangelo that perfectly embodies the Italian and south of France flavours invites Riyadh guests to a unique experience at the heart of the city.

Created by the legendary Chef Mamo, Italian immigrant from Calabria, the story started in Italy where his grandmother let the grandchildren make gnocchi with all the family in a small village in Calabria.

As he grew older in the south France, the family continued these traditions with everyone getting involved at the family gatherings. The warmth of his childhood made him more passionate about food, and his Italian roots and memories influenced the way he sees the world and his approach to hospitality.

He started Le Michelangelo as a pizzeria over thirty years ago and the restaurant evolved into Mamo Michelangelo that became the go to place in Cote d’Azure and the meeting spot for the celebrities.

At Mamo, you can experience the best of Italian and Provençal French food, “The philosophy is simple at the restaurant, we welcome you into our home. We love to share the spirt of Italy through all sensory perceptions, from the terra cotta tiles that we brought from France to the individually hand painted clay plates that we present our food in. When you come to Mamo, you are transported to the south of France”, Chef Mamo says.

Year after year, Chef Mamo searched for the best products available in the south of France and Italy, and found many small producers, who put their hearts into their work. Good food starts with quality in the ingredients and the consistency of the dishes, allowing guests to have the same perfect experience time and time again.

Brought to Riyadh by Al Khozama – one of the most prominent players in the Gulf region’s hospitality sector, Mamo Michelangelo is located in Al Faisaliah Hotel at the heart of Riyadh.

The restaurant offers amazing experience at lunch and dinner where guests can embark on a unique Italian journey with delicious traditional Italian starters, homemade pizza & pasta, Mediterranean fish, Sicilian cheesecake, and much more.

The menu features Spaghetti Black Truffle that is one of the Italian favorite dishes. With homemade Italian Spaghetti, the dish includes fresh black truffle that can be enjoyed in many ways and can be sublimated by fatty substances, in which you can capture and diffuse its aromas: cheese, egg, cream, butter.

With strong smell and incomparable fragrance, Spaghetti Black Truffle is prepared in front of the guest with Parmesan cheese and Porcini cream in the unique Italian style. The dish ingredients include homemade pasta, shallots, cream Parmesan truffle, truffle oil, Cantal cheese.

The menu also includes a variety of dishes such as the delicious Linguine del Mar, a typical dish of the south-Italy cuisine with homemade pasta, squid ink, prawns and other ingredients, and various types of pizza such as Focaccia al Tartufo, Margherita, and Bufalina. Other dishes include the creamy Burrata from Napoli, lamb shoulder perfectly cooked in a charcoal oven, and some signature dishes like the Truffle Focaccia and Truffle Raviolinis. All of this will make you want to end your meal with the traditional tiramisu or the breathtaking lemon tart!
