LLH Hospital, Abu Dhabi, has set up the ‘Vaidyashala Ayurveda Center’ to offer comprehensive Ayurvedic services for various medical conditions. Led by a team of experienced doctors, the center provides evidence-based treatments for multiple conditions by blending modern medicine with traditional Ayurveda. Indian Embassy Consul Dr. Ramaswamy Balaji inaugurated the center in a ceremony held at the hospital recently.
According to Dr. Balaji, the awareness about the benefits of Ayurvedic treatment for healing, prevention and rehabilitation has increased.
“Traditional medicine focuses on a holistic approach towards prevention, healing, and rehabilitation. As people become more aware of its potential and importance in restoring balance and well-being, Ayurveda is gaining increased acceptance in the region. The UAE authorities have given it a big boost by recognizing Ayurveda and bringing it under insurance coverage. Establishing new Ayurveda centers like Vaidyashala will benefit the community to avail of high-quality services from an experienced team. I wish Vaidyashala all the success in serving the people in the UAE,” said Dr. Balaji.
Vaidyashala has expert doctors who will focus on alleviating the ill effects of non-communicable chronic diseases. The clinic will offer evidence-based Ayurvedic treatments for arthritis, allergies, asthma, migraines, skin diseases, and gynecological problems. It will provide curative therapies to relieve physical pain, mental stress, insomnia, etc. The center’s offerings include short-term wellness packages like Vedhanaamrutham (Pain Out Package), Jeevaneeya (Energy Plus Package), Swastha (Destress Package), Shuddhi (Detox Package), Nidramithra (Sleep Aid Package), and Padaparicharya (Footcare Package). The long-term wellness packages include Spine and Joint Care Program, Anti-Dandruff Treatment, Anti-Cellulite Treatment, Ayurvedic Detox Treatment, Mathrukalpam (Ayurvedic Postnatal Care), and Soundharya Vardhini (Beauty Care Packages). Programs for weight loss, postnatal care, detox treatments and lifestyle modification are also available at the center.
According to Dr. Shyam Viswanathan, Head of Vaidyashala, the Ayurvedic tradition offers significant benefits to patients by reducing the effects of chronic diseases. “The World Health Organization recognizes the science and practice of Ayurveda. We will follow an integrative approach at Vaidyashala that blends modern medicine with the practice of Ayurveda to offer relief to patients, particularly those suffering from chronic diseases,” he said.
