MUBADALA WORLD TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP KIDS DAY LOGO COMPETITION RETURNS

Little Picassos, take note: The popular Kids Day Logo competition for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC) is back. Organisers of the Arabian Gulf’s leading tennis experience are calling on all children under 12 to submit their logo designs for the annual Kids Day, which takes place on the opening day of the three-day Championship.

The winning logo will be displayed at multiple locations across the Tennis Village, at the International Tennis Centre, in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, on December 16. Traditionally, Day One of the three-day tournament features a wide range of engaging off-court activities for youngsters.

Kids aged 12 and below who wish to enter the competition can submit their logo design to info@mubadalawtc.com by November 16. All entries must include the words ‘Mubadala World Tennis Championship Kids Day’ and the winning logo will be announced shortly after the competition closes, with the winner and guardians being invited to the event to receive exciting prizes and witness the child’s original artwork being brought to life.

“It goes without saying that the Mubadala World Tennis Championship is a perfect destination for tennis fans to see the biggest players in action, but it is more than that,” said John Lickrish, CEO of Flash Entertainment. “It is a festival of tennis with a variety of enjoyable activities for all ages, particularly for children and families, and a strong platform for communities to engage with each other. Therefore, we have planned a unique Kids Day for the opening day of the Championship, for which we are now calling for logos to be designed by budding artists,”

“The winning logo will be featured at the Championship, so I would urge parents to encourage their children to pick up some crayons or coloured pencils and put their creative skills to the test.”

This year’s Championship will feature an opening day match between 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu and World No. 2 Ons Jabeur. The following two days of action will feature men’s World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, No. 4 Casper Ruud, 2022 US Open semi-finalist Frances Tiafoe, reigning champion Andrey Rublev, and Britain’s No.1 male tennis player Cameron Norrie.

Tickets start from AED 95 for adults and AED 45 for children and can be purchased on the event’s official website www.mubadalawtc.com. Three-day packages offer a 20 per cent saving, guaranteeing spectators a seat for the entire Championship. Premier Hospitality tickets also offer fans a premium F&B menu and courtside seating providing prime viewing, while group purchases of 15 or more tickets can access a 15 per cent discount by calling 800 86 823 or emailing customerservice@ticketmaster.ae.
