Aramco Team Series Jeddah returns this week with a world class playing field, Ladies Day, Night Golf and innovative format to look forward to

Stars from women’s golf are all set to tee up in Jeddah this week at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in the latest Aramco Team Series Presented by Public Investment Fund tournament, which is taking place from November 10-12.

Golfers, sports enthusiasts and families that just enjoy a great day out will be able to watch some of the best players in ladies’ golf at the $1m Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series Jeddah tournament, which showcases a unique format combining individual and team events.

Where better to take in top-class sport than at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club, in an idyllic setting overlooking the Red Sea with an array of entertainment on offer both on and off the course.

And below are FIVE great reasons why you should go to the Aramco Team Series Jeddah where tickets are completely free!

Two of the game’s best have confirmed their attendance to appear in Jeddah in British stars Charley Hull and Georgia Hall. Hull is currently ranked number 18 in the world and heads into the final Aramco Team Series event in scintillating form after winning her latest LPGA title at the Ascendant in Texas. Hall will return to a venue where she has had recent success after claiming a stunning five shot victory at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International in March and sits at number 27 in the world rankings. Bronte Law, the Aramco Team Series London 2022 individual winner will also feature, and she will be joined by Olivia Cowan, Anne Van Dam, Annabel Dimmock and Marianne Skarpnord, among others. Slovenian superstar, Pia Babnik, will return to Royal Greens Golf and Country Club where she will be aiming to defend the individual title, she won in 2021.

  • Ladies Day event

Ladies Day returns to Royal Greens Golf & Country Club on Friday 11 November with an array of activities taking place for female visitors. Throughout the day mini golf and kid’s games will be on offer and between 3pm and 6pm, free 30-minute golf clinics for females will be available from Golf Saudi professional coaches. Later in the evening a Q&A will take place with Saudi Arabian entrepreneur Adwa Al Dakheel. A Night Golf activation will then follow giving attendees the opportunity to take part and hit various targets. Ladies Day will conclude with live music from 8:30pm to 10pm, with Lady You and her band rounding off proceedings.

  • Unique and exciting format

The Aramco Team Series team event runs alongside an individuals’ tournament, so there are two gripping narratives to follow. The team competition takes place over the opening 36 holes and sees a captain select a player at a pre-event draft where she’s also allocated another professional and an amateur. The best two scores per hole count in the race to land the top prize from a total prize fund of $500,000. A further $500,000 is up for grabs in the individuals’ tournament, which runs concurrently and concludes on the third and final day. This innovative format has led to some thrilling golf, including at the latest Aramco Team Series tournament in New York where amateur Jennifer Rosenberg helped Team Gustavsson win the title. Rosenberg qualified to appear as a Championship amateur through the Saturday pre-qualifying tournament, beating off competition from some of the best golfers from across New York and beyond to take part.

  • Night Golf

An innovative new activation will be introduced at this year’s Aramco Team Series Jeddah aiming to encourage visitors to experience golf, potentially for the first time, in a fun and unique way. A Night Golf experience will take place on Thursday and Friday evenings with the first hole turned into a visual night-time spectacle using LED lighting and strip lights to create a wonderland of golf never seen or played before. The aim is to encourage new fans into the game of golf in Jeddah and continue the Aramco Team Series efforts to increase participation in golf across the Kingdom. Aramco will also sponsor a Night Golf Charity challenge where two professional golfers and two amateurs will play a “closest to the hole” challenge under the floodlights.

  • Spectacular views

Royal Greens Golf and Country Club is a premier 18-hole championship golf course, boasting panoramic views of the Red Sea coast as its natural backdrop. It has played host to a number of professional golf tournaments and never fails to deliver spectacular views for spectators and competitors alike. Hole 16 is one of the most famous in the Middle East, and home to the best backdrop of any golf hole in Saudi Arabia. A short par-3, framed by the Red Sea and the sounds of waves crashing into the sandy beach it is one of the most beautiful golf holes in the world.
