Ghaya Grand Hotel to Reduce Carbon Emission for 60 minutes as a Part of Earth Hour

The closest five star luxury hotel and apartment to the Expo 2020 Dubai, Ghaya Grand Hotel will dim the lights for one hour on March 27, as part of the Earth Hour 2021 initiative. To participate in this, the hotel will turn off its non-essential interior lighting at 8.30 pm. The property will be using candlelight in appropriate public areas and send in-room television messages to inform guests about Earth Hour observances.

Olwin D’souza, General Manager of Ghaya Grand Hotel said, “We have a responsibility, and an opportunity to share this message with our guests and associates through bringing Earth Hour to life, and continuing the focus every day through our sustainability and CSR programs.”

“Ghaya Grand Hotel has been an advocate of sustainable hospitality services and contributes in making a community green and healthy.” He added.

To further celebrate the occasion, Ghaya Grand Hotel extends a promotion of 30% off in Fusion Restaurant, the hotel’s signature and award-winning restaurant offering an All-You-Can Eat Asian dinner buffet, as well as in Ghaya Spa, the hotel’s ultimate well-being club, where guests can available 60-minutes massage and/or any other wellness treatments.

Additionally, Ghaya Grand Hotel will launch a social media campaign to encourage everyone to post and raise awareness about the importance of Earth Hour. To join the Instagram competition, the mechanics are as follows:

Put off your electricity for 60 minutes and share your #EarthHour moment with us by tagging Ghaya Grand Hotel (@ghayagrandhotel) on Instagram or Facebook (Stories or Post). The best post will win a dinner voucher for 2 at Fusion restaurant.
