Adaaran Prestige Vadoo named Most Outstanding Culinary Organisation at the FHAM 2022 International Culinary Challenge

Aitken Spence Hotels is proud to announce Adaaran Prestige Vadoo as the winner of ‘The Most Oustanding Culinary Organisation’ at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2022 International Culinary Challenge.

The resort team brought home 13 Gold, 6 Silver and 9 Bronze medals, cementing their prowess in the culinary field.

With submissions from every corner of the Maldives archipelago, competition was fierce with 20 resorts and 560 entries recorded by FHAM from both renowned global brands and boutique properties alike.

Multiple properties from the Aitken Spence family were also recognised for their culinary expertise including:

  • Adaaran Select Meedhupparu with 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 4 Bronze, 4 Merit
  • Adaaran Select Hudhurran Fushi with 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 7 Bronze, 4 Merit
  • Adaaran Club Rannalhi with 4 Bronze
  • Heritance Aarah with 3 Silver

The FHAM International Culinary Challenge, the national culinary competition of the Chef’s Guild of Maldives, is the only event endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) World Platform of Islamic Countries Culinary Society, Chef’s Guild of Maldives and the Chef’s Guild of Lanka.

The competition brings together chefs from across The Maldives, allowing them to display their skills and gain accreditation from an internationally acclaimed panel of judges.

This year the Culinary Challenges included over 20 disciplines from artistic showpieces, vegetable carving, desserts, and finger food, through to traditional Maldivian fare and a class for young chefs.
