Ahmed Al Bishri, Chief Operations Officer at the Saudi Esports Federation, said: “Driven by our unwavering commitment to ensure offerings are available for everyone to explore and enjoy, Gamers8 is living up to its billing as a truly inclusive spectacle, as emphasized by this latest news. From the very beginning, Saudi Esports Federation sought to bring together diverse, exhilarating performers from a wide variety of musical genres and disciplines, an objective we are delighted has been fulfilled with the artists coming to Gamers8 from across the region and around the world. With the inspiring passion of those in attendance and the remarkable talent of those on stage, the live concerts at NXT LVL arena will help shape the lasting legacy that Gamers8 leaves us upon its conclusion.”
Saudi Arabia’s very own DJ Aseel, whose journey has seen him become one of the region’s most decorated DJs, has joined the Week 2 concert cast alongside Egypt’s Hamaki, Emirati singer Balquees, and award-winning DJ and producer Axwell, formerly of Swedish House Mafia, on July 21. The following Thursday, fans can now look forward to watching Belgian deep house and tropical house DJ Lost Frequencies, Puerto Rican singer and rapper Ozuna – whose five studio albums have all topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart – as well as two of the Arab world’s best-known DJs, Malkin and Emad.
Sudanese rapper Dafencii makes his way to the Kingdom for the August 4 concert amidst his rising popularity, as does internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Wizkid, who last year became the most streamed Nigerian artist of all-time on Spotify, the official audio partner of Gamers8. The next Thursday, Jeddah’s own electro, techno, and deep house DJ Cosmicat will be opening the show, while the following week’s concert on August 18 will see Saudi-based DJ JEED show why he’s among the most talked about artists in the Middle East today.
Looking further afield, the penultimate Gamers8 live concert’s cast has been further strengthened with its latest addition. The Engineers, Saudi Arabia’s famous DJ trio that has performed around the globe since 2006, are officially involved. The following Thursday, September 1, now sees DJs Warchief and Chindy, who hail from Saudi Arabia and Oman and make up the musical duo Jazzy Spa Sounds, as the first act part of the night that is going to cap off the eighth and final Gamers8 live concert.
