Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi invites families and friends to come together and celebrate the happy occasion of Bastille Day with a curated menu of French specialties

As one of the most important and joyful occasions on the French calendar, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi is pulling out all the stops to present a sumptuous Bastille Day celebration on Thursday, July 14.

A day of great historical significance for the people of France, Bastille Day marks the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille in 1789, the major event that signaled the start of the French Revolution.

As French National Day, it is a tradition for families and friends to come together on Bastille Day to savour a feast of authentic French cuisine accompanied by sparkling champagne.

Often enjoyed outside in parks or gardens and under the gentle European summer sun, Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi is inviting the UAE capital to join every French national across the globe and celebrate the occasion of Bastille Day in sophisticated and elegant style. Bringing the charm and magic of this special celebration to Saadiyat Island, the curated Bastille Day menu is filled with sensational tastes and delicious dishes.

Titled ‘Vive la France’ or ‘long live France’, the vibrant and enrapturing five-course experience takes guests on a journey through the finest flavours and traditional recipes in the history of French cuisine.

Crafted using fresh, organic, and premium ingredients, the recipes have been flawlessly executed by Michelin Star Chef Pierre Gagnaire, the culinary master behind the original Fouquet’s restaurant in Paris.

Exclusively available for one-day only, the experience starts with a refreshing glass of premium French champagne or a fruity bespoke mocktail, before the first course introduces diners to the light and healthy French appetiser of fresh tomato soup with melon sorbet and frozen raspberries.

The precious heritage of French cuisine is then presented beautifully in the immaculate servings of poached sea bass with ratatouille niçoise, and the wholesome main course of roasted chicken breast with summer herbs, seasonal vegetables and new potatoes.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true voyage through French gastronomy without a majestic cheese platter. Cheese enthusiasts will adore every variation in Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi’s lavish collection of aged French cheese, presented with homemade seasonal chutney.

Conquering images of the green and luscious French countryside and its fresh summer fruits, the delectable experience ends on a pleasantly sweet note with Executive Pastry Chef Hugo Sipp’s signature peach and apricot dessert. Flawlessly fusing juicy organic fruits with verbena, white sorbet, almonds, and whipped cream, it’s an uplifting and playful sweet indulgence that is guaranteed to delight even the most discerning food connoisseur.

Along with the amazing culinary creations, water, tea and coffee is included for every diner. Guests are also invited to enhance their unforgettable feast by enjoying a selection of exquisite paired European grapes, hops, cocktails and premium beverages.

The five-course Bastille Day menu at Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi is available to enjoy on Thursday, July 14 from 12pm to 10pm, priced AED 365 per person for food, water, tea and coffee.
