The Outlierman, makers of handcrafted luxury driving accessories, today announce their new three-year collaboration with the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, lasting until 2025, in a deal brokered by IMG.
Three years of design for a century of glory
Chosen for their exquisite luxury handcrafted driving accessories and the stylistic know-how that has been built over time, The Outlierman will design and produce multiple limited-edition capsule licensed collections inspired by the most emblematic moments and symbols of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including luxury driving gloves, ties, pocket squares, silk & cashmere scarves, leather helmet bags, wallets and swim shorts.
The 24 hours of Le Mans is the world’s oldest active endurance race event and has been running since 1923. Held annually on the Circuit de la Sarthe, this year’s event will take place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th June.
Andrea Mazzuca, Founder of The Outlierman, comments: “We at The Outlierman are incredibly proud to be partnering with the historic and renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans. This new collaboration fills us with immense pride and marks a huge milestone for the brand.
“Each design we create will be a chapter of a great story to remember, to collect, and will reflect the moments that make the 24 Hours of Le Mans the most unique race in the world and in history. We also can’t wait to be part of the 24 Hours of Le Mans centenary celebrations next year and have big plans in place for the occasion.”
Translating the competitiveness, great feats, and cutting-edge technologies of the 24 Hours of Le Mans into silk designs and leather accessories will be, as always, down to The Outlierman’s talented Bologna-based designers. They have an incredible ability to synthesize epic tales and archival photos into evocative designs that speak of passion for driving. Meanwhile, the crafting of each piece will have the expert touch of The Outlierman’s master craftspeople, in their workshops between Naples and Como.
The Arnage, Mulsanne and Tertre Rouge 24 Heures du Mans driving gloves
As the first pieces released in the all-new limited-edition capsule collection – in the collaboration between the 24 Hours of Le Mans and The Outlierman – the Arnage, Mulsanne and Tertre Rouge 24 Heures du Mans driving gloves are fine examples of the products being handcrafted in this three-year collaboration.
ARNAGE 24 Heures du Mans – Italy White / Racing Red / Tour De France Blue
The Outlierman’s designers have combined the grip of suede with “rock ‘n roll stitching”, so intricate that it had to be hand-sewn by expert artisans with attention worthy of the Arnage Corner. Iconic racing colours and the official 24 Hours of Le Mans logo complete the Bologna-brand’s tribute to the Arnage Corner.
MULSANNE 24 Heures du Mans – Tour De France Blue / Racing Red / Italy WhiteOR Hyper Black / Racing Red / Italy White
A long linear track of small hand-sewn waxed thread, which stand out in contrast to the soft nappa lambskin, is the styling detail that The Outlierman designers chose to evoke around the most famous straight of the famous endurance race. Contrasting leather inserts in the iconic colours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and a leather tab with the race official logo, lend an unmistakable sporty touch to a limited-edition driving glove model with a classic flair.
TERTRE ROUGE 24 Heures du Mans – Fingerless driving gloves – Racing Red / Italy White / Tour De France Blue
A fingerless driving glove model signed by The Outlierman, in the iconic colours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and enhanced by the leather tab with the official logo of the competition. The stitching, meticulously handmade by The Outlierman’s master glove makers from Naples, and the nappa lambskin inserts that design the finger profiles and edges, make distinctive a limited-edition driving glove model that The Outlierman designed by getting inspiration from the highest point of the racetrack.
