Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia collaborates with online “Live Well” platform during Eid AlFitr to keep raising awareness of the importance of staying healthy and wellbeing.
The initiative which was run throughout Eid AlFitr on “Live Well” – the Ministry’s of Health official health platform – has proved to be highly successful. As part of the campaign 90 Huawei wearable products that support healthy lifestyle were gifted to 90 online lucky draw winners on the “Live Well” social media platforms.
The “Live Well” platform is considered the main platform for health awareness that was developed by Ministry of Health (MOH) in a qualitative initiative and as an unprecedented step. The platform aims to be the first and approved reference for reliable health information. It also provides basic and diverse health information related to the health to all members of the society, from kids to old age. This step came as part of the Ministry’s initiatives that work to improve the quality of performance in life and promote health awareness. It also comes as a continuation of the efforts undertaken by the MOH; To preserve the health and safety of all members of society, encourage proper health behavior, and reduce the burden of disease, based on the Saudi Vision 2030.
As increasing numbers of people in Saudi are taking more proactive roles to improve their health, self-health management has become one of the most important ways to prevent disease and stay healthy. Smartwatches are playing a key role in this regard by becoming extensions of the user’s body, as well as being a smartphone accessory.
Huawei has seen this trend and demand for comfortable, accurate positioning, and scientific workout guidance, and launched in the Saudi market several wearables that meet the consumers’ needs when it comes to monitoring health and fitness, and recently launched in the local market the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Pro.
Huawei believes that technology should serve people, and will continue to use the power of technology to protect everyone’s health. Huawei’s strategy for health and fitness does not stop. In fact, what Huawei wants to do is a whole new set of health systems based on smart wearable devices that connect users’ body data and life scenarios. Moreover, Huawei currently runs multiple Health Labs globally to study health-related technology, focusing on innovative use cases for health and fitness technologies, and has its Songshan Lake Health Lab which is intended to become a world class health and fitness technology R&D institute dedicated to product R&D, standards R&D, certification, exhibitions, and industry incubation activities.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei has invested heavily into research in digital health and fitness technologies and active partnerships with related industry authorities and ecosystem partners. At present, more than 5 million users have joined the HUAWEI Research Program, and over 320 million users have benefited from Huawei’s health and fitness services. There are currently over 83 million global average monthly active users of the HUAWEI Health App.
