Active on the Beach, an inaugural free two-day fitness festival incorporating beach-based yoga and workouts customised for Ramadan, will bring the health and wellness community together this Holy Month at the Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah.
Organised by the makers of the Middle East’s Leading Fitness & Wellness Expo – Dubai Active and celebrating holistic health and wellness, Active on the Beach will run from April 27-28 in partnership with FitnGlam and The Platform Studios. Offering fitness-lovers the chance to participate in complimentary yoga, booty burn and core sessions, and a low-intensity workout with Elite Arabic-American fitness trainers Ruba and Heba Ali, the festival will culminate with a complimentary Iftar.
Health and wellness are now major cornerstones of the fitness industry, while Ramadan is a long-standing and integral part of Dubai-based living. Active on the Beach honours the two, with a special focus on staying healthy during the Holy Month and aimed at both those who are fasting and those who are not.
Day One of Active on the Beach will start at 4.30pm with attendees receiving goodie bags filled with FitnGlam, KIND Snacks & FIJI Water products and a choice between either a FitnGlam Sunset Yoga session or a FitnGlam Booty Burn and Core session at 5pm. This will be followed by a 45 minute Mind Body Fusion workout with Heba at 6pm and complimentary post-workout Iftar. The second day will open its doors at 5.30pm with Ruba conducting a low-intensity hour-long workout from 6pm which will also be followed by a complimentary post-workout Iftar. Visitors will be able to checkout the Region’s first multi brand ecommerce Tribe71.com offering curated athleisure wear & loungewear at a live exclusive pop up shop on the beach. Plus, complimentary KIND snacks and products from official Water Partner FIJI Water will be distributed throughout the festival to keep attendees fuelled and safely hydrated after sunset.
“We’re extremely excited to bring the innovative Active on the Beach concept to the people of the UAE,” said Craig Hartley, co-founder of Dubai Active. “With many people shying away from hosting fitness events during Ramadan, we keenly understand the importance of educating people on how to maintain both their health and wellness during this time. Ruba and Heba are both extremely established health coaches in their own rights and we cannot wait to see them in action on the beach at the Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah.”
Helena Hijazi , Founder – FitnGlam added: “For our first Ramadan with our FitnGlam community, we wanted to make this special. We are honored to be partnering with Active on the Beach for this inaugural edition and as a brand that is committed and focused on health and wellness and supporting the Dubai community, this event could not be more fitting. We are looking forward to meeting all the participants across two afternoons of fitness, great food, and memory-making.”
