Captain Saeed Al-Mouri, the motorsport star of Saudi Hankook Team, has achieved third place in T4 category in the second round of the Bajas World Cup Rally, and the first round of the Middle East Cup. The rally was hosted by the Jordanian city Al-Aqaba for the third time, under the supervision of the International Automobile Federation “FIA” during the period 17-19 February.
Captain Al-Mouri continued, through this advanced position in this round of the World Cup. His outstanding and remarkable presence in the world competition and maintained his chances of upgrading in the world rankings in this category. However, Al-Mouri started this year’s 2022 racing season by participating in Dubai 24 Motorsport, which he was unable to complete because of a mechanical failure in his car.
On this occasion, Captain Saeed Al-Mouri confirmed by saying: “I am very ambitious in achieving the first place in order to translate the support and attention that I personally received as well as all athletes in the Kingdom, provided from our beloved government represented by the Ministry of Sports. Saudi Arabia is reaching higher goals in all sports under the leadership of His Highness the Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Faisal, who has played an outstanding role in the development of motorsports in the Kingdom. I also thank Bin-Shihon Group, exclusive distributor of Hankook tires in Saudi Arabia, which has been sponsoring me for more than ten years, and has been a key partner in all the successes achieved during this period”.
For his part, Mr. Marwan bin Shihon, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bin-Shihon Group, exclusive distributor of Hankook tires in Saudi Arabia, congratulated Saeed Al-Mouri for his presence in the list of honor at the end of the second round of the World Cup Rally, after he won the third place in his category. He stressed that the rally season is still in its starting stage. However, the ambitions held on Al-Mouri this season to progress and advance further in the competition is great to witness.”
