Al-Futtaim Health, DAISY Award partner to recognize ‘extraordinary’ nurses

As a partner in the international DAISY Award program that recognizes nurses’ compassionate care, Al-Futtaim Health organized a DAISY Award ceremony attended by Bonnie, Mark & Melissa Barnes, the Co-founders and VP of Operations of The DAISY Foundation.

The DAISY Award is held to honour the extraordinary efforts of nurses in healthcare across the world, recognizing resilience, passion, and dedication to caring for patients and families every day. Individual nurses were nominated by patients, families, and colleagues with Bonnie Barnes presenting the prestigious award to the selected honoree in the presence of the Al-Futtaim Health senior leadership team.

Al-Futtaim Health encompassed and celebrated its’ commitment to becoming the first UAE primary care organization to be internationally accredited in a people centered model.  Ms. Barnes further touched upon the compassion, sensitivity and kindness that were at the heart of nursing services, with the DAISY Award being a recognition of these values and celebrating the nurses who exemplified this.

“We are proud to be among the healthcare organizations participating in the DAISY Award program. It’s important that our nurses know their work is highly valued, and The DAISY Foundation provides a way for us to do that,” said Dr. Haidar Al Yousuf, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Health.

The event concluded with Siân Collier-Jones, Chief Nursing Officer of Al-Futtaim Health, appreciating the work of nurses and nurse leaders for their endless commitment in treating patients with compassion and empathy.
