Sacha Jafri & Marcus Schaefer to launch a first-of-a-kind concept on Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Helipad

Artist and Philanthropist Sacha Jafri is partnering up with the leading Art Visionary, Marcus Schaefer, to launch a first-of-its-kind exhibition on top of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Helipad. In celebration of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites 50th anniversary, ‘The Art Maze’ exhibition will be officially unveiled on 23rd March and will be on show until 27th March.

A year after creating the world’s largest painting on canvas, ‘The Journey of Humanity’, Sacha Jafri is continuing his Humanitarian Journey by reconnecting people with heritage and culture through the celebration of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

Marcus Schaefer, whose mission is to create unique platforms for Artists to display their work beyond traditional boundaries, is the mastermind behind the one-of-a-kind gallery structure, which is a 12-meter-by-12-meter steel labyrinth. ‘The Art Maze’ will showcase 30 original oil and acrylic masterpieces by Sacha Jafri and will give visitors the opportunity to choose which path to take and create an experience where the journey is the destination.

The exclusive, invite-only, exhibition will welcome global celebrities, entrepreneurs, HNWI, art lovers and collectors; and with the vision of Schaefer’s use of modern-day technology, it will allow the world to engage in an interactive experience with a unique opportunity to learn about the history and anthropology of each World Heritage Site, delving deeper into our cultural past, through the implementation of highly developed VR and AR experiences during The Art Maze World Tour.

Sacha Jafri, Artist and Philanthropist, comments, “In a world where the metaverse is becoming more of a reality, and where online and physical living is fully integrated, this project is about reconnecting Humanity to the beauty that surrounds us, within our natural world, by re-establishing links with our heritage and cultural history. The launch of the ‘The Art Maze’ on the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Helipad will truly be a first-of-its-kind-concept where art meets architecture and technology, and we can’t wait to share it with the rest of the world.”

Marcus Schaefer, Art Visionary, comments, “Just like real life, the visitors of our Art Maze will have the opportunity to choose which path to take. The end point hence becomes the starting point; an eternal cycle in which the journey is the destination. We get to reflect on the unique beauty that surrounds us – without losing sight of the big picture.”

Jafri has been recognized by the United Nations for his humanitarian work as he has raised over $140 million for charitable causes. His work with ‘The Art Maze’ will not only celebrate UNESCO World Heritage Sites 50th anniversary and its outstanding universal values, but it also aims to reconnect society with the cultural history and beauty of our planet’s most protected sites through Education, Science, and Culture.

After its Dubai launch, ‘The Art Maze’ Global Tour will commence and travel to the four corners of the world over the next two years. In line with the structure of the maze where starting point becomes the end point, the World Tour aims to end in the UAE and travel to Abu Dhabi for its final show. The next destination of the Global Tour will be announced at a Press Conference during the opening of ‘The Art
