Huawei trains 100 students on Huawei Mobile Services and Ecosystem at the Technical Digital Girl’s College in Riyadh

Huawei hosted its first training session for HMS & Ecosystem app development in Saudi Arabia for “Technical Digital Girl’s College in Riyadh”. At the session, the “The Future of App Industry” was discussed at length as the Kingdom is now implementing digital transformation and is introducing ways to empower the next generation of talent across all digital spheres.

At the session, Huawei was able to take the students through information on how to enhance careers as developers. As a result, trainers were able to introduce Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) along with HMS Ecosystem growth in Saudi Arabia to over 100 female students currently studying at the college. The trainers also took the students through the different steps that are required to be a part of the HMS Ecosystem as developers and introduced open capabilities of HMS Core and most frequently used HMS Kits including but not limited to Account, Map, Location, ML, Analytics and IAP Kits.

Malak Alabdulhafez, the training supervisor in the colledge said, “The importance of these courses is in that they expand the scope of knowledge in the college trainees and improve their technical skills”

Huawei’s efforts in investing time in young female talent, showed results straight away. Huawei was able to receive a large number of Huawei Developer ID registrations with students registering themselves for the App Development Certificate Program, all leading to enhancing their careers as developers.

The training will continue over the five upcoming sessions where the students will dive deeper into the HMS development and will be able to take the exam at the end of the program to become a HUAWEI certified and receive the “HMS Foundation Course Certificate”
