The Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Festival – Abu Dhabi will get underway in Zayed Sports City with young athletes aged between four and 15 taking to mats across different categories inside the UAE capital’s Jiu-Jitsu Arena.
Registrations for the event, which were open to all nationalities and closed on Tuesday, saw huge interest among younger players eager to participate and display their skills, physical, and mental abilities on the mat.
The two-day event, organized by the UAEJJF, will mark its beginning with competitions in the Kids One (ages 4-5), Kids Two (6-7), and Kids Three (8-9) categories on Friday, followed by competitions for boys and girls in the infant (10-11), junior (12-13), and teen categories the following day.
Abdullah Al Zaabi, Head of UAEJJF’s Events and Activities Department, said families attending the tournament will be provided with a wide range of entertainment and leisure options, including games and recreational activities, as well as a designated area for food trucks featuring the most prominent hospitality brands in the region.
Face painting, colouring, arts, and sculpting are among the recreational activities across the two days, while the games area will include a trampoline, racing cars, train rides, and much more.
