MICHELIN LAUNCHES BRAND NEW HEAVY-DUTY TYRES CUSTOMISED FOR THE Gulf Markets

World leading tyre manufacturer Michelin has introduced its new line of tyres in the Saudi Arabia and Gulf markets – MICHELIN X® LINE™ TROPIC Z. Designed especially for the Gulf region, Michelin’s new product line utilises its latest innovative technologies to suit extreme hot weather conditions and offers greater safety, endurance, and mileage.

With the demand for highly durable tyres constantly increasing in the Saudi Arabia and Gulf Markets, we decided to combine four top technologies to optimise our new product MICHELIN X® LINE™ TROPIC Z in a way that has never been done before. The result is up to 15%* of additional mileage which can help our customers increase business efficiency,” said Naser Shashaa, Commercial Director – Michelin Middle East & North Africa.

Combining the top features of its two successful former product lines, MICHELIN X ENERGY SAVERGREEN XT and MICHELIN X COOLRUNNER XF – the new range has been designed for long-distance transport on motorways roads.

The new MICHELIN X® LINE™ TROPIC Z product range is the first to be built with four new technologies:

1. Infinicoil: Continuous steel wiring of up to 400 meters in length, which helps to provide these tyres with greater stability, endurance, and mileage
2. Powercoil: New generation robust steel cables which offer better oxidation resistance while enhancing the casing endurance
3. Duracoil: A new kind of reinforced zone between the tyre and the wheel that brings better robustness. Its high-end nylon protects the bead bundle while providing better bead stability during rolling
4. FEAO++: A new generation of antioxidant sidewall mix which provides high resistance against rubber aging and ozone effect to protect the casing

An advantage of combining Infinicoil, Powercoil and Duracoil technologies is extra robustness, which results in reduced breakdown. With its innovative and optimised compact tread design, MICHELIN X® LINE™ TROPIC Z is suited for extreme hot weather conditions and offers up to 15% additional mileage* leading to a decrease in operating costs.

The MICHELIN X® LINE™ TROPIC Z addresses consumer needs for simplification with one authorised product for both front and trailer axles.
