Family fun activities and entertainment will be at the heart of the Allianz E-Village for the 2022 Diriyah E-Prix on January 28-29th.
The Allianz E-Village is Formula E’s dedicated fan festival devoted to exploring the racing series, experiencing the latest innovations and enjoying some of the best action against the backdrop of all-electric street racing action.
Here is a small glimpse of what fans and families can look forward to.
Kids Zone and Workshops:
Kids and little ones can enjoy sustainable themed workshops inside the Kids Zone Dome. The workshops will be hosted by Arabic and English experienced facilitators, and it is suitable for 5-14 years old. Each workshop will be around 30 minutes and can host up to 20 people at a time.
The Wind Power Challenge will allow children to understand the importance of windmills powers and give them a greater understanding of how ancient technology developed into an advanced science that has changed humanity over the course of centuries. As for the Green Boating activity junior guests will learn how to reuse some everyday items and learn the fundamental concepts of wind energy by turning their items into a working sailboat.
Kids Driving School:
Ready, set, go! Kids can learn about the basics of road safety by driving an electric car on a customised track. The journey starts with completing a short interactive instructional workshop on the basics of road safety, then it is time to hit the track! The junior drivers can jump in an electric car for a spin on a customised track complete with traffic signals and signs designed to mimic being on the road. All mini drivers will be supported through the process with qualified instructors, who will ensure the activation is executed in a safe and entertaining way.
Recharge Garden & Pedal Power:
Enjoy the winter weather and relax on upcycled pallet sofas or lounge in a bean bag over the lush green plants which will create a perfect atmosphere. Those seeking excitement and a challenge can compete against their friends and family in the Pedal Power activation for a one-of-a-kind digital experience of the track as the harder they pedal the faster they progress around the track.
LED Coloring Wall:
The photo walls have been designed to be dual purpose with the coloring wall on the reverse side. Fans can take coloring to new dimensions under the LED lights, as their creations will glow through neon pens. Creativity will flow as the designs develop throughout the course of race weekend.
Picture Kiosk & Selfie Frame:
For the ultimate selfie lovers, strike a pose with your favorite racing hero as the drivers will be brought to the fan booth digitally for selfies and autographs. Witnessing the drivers walk on to the screen and stand alongside the participant as a photo is taken and printed to keep.
Live Race Action
Race aficionados can get close to the action as giant screens will be located around the village with Arabic commentary to a give fans access to driver interviews live from the pit lane.
Jahez Food Village:
Fans can power up in the food courts in Jahez Food Village, with delicious F&B options inside the food court where everything is sourced responsibly.
The Diriyah E-Prix continue to be the perfect family day out where race fans and music aficionados can look forward to entertainment both on and off track with concerts returning across the weekend. On Friday 28 January, global music stars James Blunt, Craig David and Wyclef Jean will be performing their biggest hits. On Saturday 29 January Two Door Cinema Club and The Script will be making their debut in the Kingdom.
