Spread Communications has officially been appointed to represent UAE’s very own Emirati female footballer Areej Al Hammadi.
Driven by passion, sheer determination, and hard work, Areej was recruited to join the UAE international women’s football team in 2015, and there has been no looking back since. She went on to participate in a host of international competitions and Asian qualifiers on an elite level with the UAE’s national and domestic football teams.
Amidst the 2020 global pandemic, Areej achieved another career milestone, where she broke a Guinness World Record with her impressive footwork. The UAE women’s national football team player is now the official titleholder for most “hotstepper” ball control tricks in one minute, a rapid move that requires a fluid motion of alternative-foot ball taps nonstop for 60 seconds – Areej’s record was 86 seconds.
Currently, Areej coaches young kids at the Alliance Academy. She is fully committed to carving a path for young girls in sports. Empowering them to become athletes, pursuing their dreams and passions despite cultural sensitivities.
