2022 Diriyah E-Prix experiential activations launch offering fans a chance to win free tickets as the all-electric racing series returns to Saudi Arabia

Formula E makes its return later this month on 28 and 29 January with the streets of Diriyah coming alive under the lights for the all-electric grid’s opening weekend of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s eighth season. Racing fanatics and sports will now have the chance to immerse themselves in the sport and a one-of-a-kind opportunity to win free tickets following the launch of experiential activation booths across Riyadh.

Booths are present across four popular locations in the Saudi capital, UWalk, Panorama Mall, Riyadh Park and Al Nakheel Mall. They will be open for all visitors from 4pm till 11pm daily until the eve of the first race on the 27th of January.

Fans will get the chance to learn more about how Formula E redefines the very boundaries of what a sport can be through the unique fusion of entertainment, sustainability, technology and innovation.

In an effort to raise awareness about environmental protection and the importance of recycling, visitors will be able to enjoy branded basketball shooting challenges in buckets of specific recycled items for an opportunity to win tickets for the race weekend. They will also get the opportunity to pose for pictures next to a condensed structure of Formula E’s Gen-2 car.

The double-header race has cemented its place on the Formula E calendar as it returns to the Kingdom for the fourth year running. It comes as part of a 10-year partnership between the sport and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Automobile and Motorsports Federation (SAMF). The now internationally renowned street racing track around the Diriyah UNESCO World Heritage site will come alive under the floodlights once again as 11 teams and 22 drivers representing 11 nations from the United States to New Zealand and Brazil to France battle it out as they hunt for their first points of the new season.

Visitors will also be able to purchase their tickets directly from the booths with tickets starting at just 150 SAR for grandstand access. All tickets are also available online via diriyah-eprix.com.

The two-night races will be rounded off with live music concerts presented by MDLBEAST headlined by soon-to-be-announced global music superstars. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets for thrills on and off their track and a seat in the grandstands lining the circuit in the best action hotspots around the historic surroundings of the birthplace of the Kingdom.
