“Aafaq Islamic Finance“, the leading institution in the financial sector that provides financial products and services compliant on the provisions of Islamic Sharia, participated in activities of the “International Volunteer Day”, in cooperation with Dubai Municipality, which launched the community volunteering initiative “An hour with the cleaner”, aimed at cleaning Dubai’s beach and supporting efforts to preserve the environment and the Emirate’s brilliant civilized appearance, in which more than 20 volunteers from “Aafaq” employees joined the Dubai Municipality employees to collect and sort waste from the beach, with their full adherence to all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of “Covid-19”.

It also comes in line with Aafaq’s commitment to the “Emirates Volunteers” platform, which falls under the umbrella of the Ministry of Community Development, and is considered one of the most prominent volunteer work platforms in the UAE, launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the country – may God protect him – in the “Year of Giving”, in addition to the “Day for Dubai” initiative, one of the pioneering initiatives that enhances a sense of social responsibility, and works to popularize the culture of volunteering and spread the values of benevolence and giving in the community. The smart application “Day for Dubai” is the largest integrated volunteer initiative in Dubai that brings together those wishing to volunteer, It is in the interest of the city and society.
