Sweden’s Bluewater, which is shaping the future of purposeful hydration at some of the world’s foremost sporting and other events and festivals around the world, has been selected by the NIO 333 Formula E Team as its official supplier of sustainable water bottles.
Bluewater’s zero plastic stainless-steel bottles are made from premium grade, recyclable sustainable steel and use eco-friendly, non-toxic silicon for cap liners, loops, and the company’s unique no spill sports caps.
“We are delighted and honoured to have Bluewater bottles chosen by NIO 333 Racing,” said Bluewater Events Director Dave Noble.
Under the terms of the partnership, Bluewater is equipping the entire NIO 333 Formula E Team, encompassing drivers Oliver Turvey and Dan Ticktum, senior executives, and support team staff, with Bluewater bottles that have already proven a major hit at premium events around the world. Bluewater also will be selling NIO 333 branded bottles from its online web shop.
“As disruptor brand on a mission to end the need for single use plastic bottles, Bluewater hopes this will be the start of a strong partnership with 333 Racing who share our commitment to leaving a healthier, more sustainable legacy for our planet and coming generations,” said Noble.
Emma Bearpark, Marketing and Commercial Manager, NIO 333 Formula E Team added: “We are delighted to be able to showcase and use the Bluewater Group multi-use bottle within our race team. The flexibility to be able to use it with both hot and cold drinks at the racetrack is initially what attracted us to the Bluewater brand. We very soon realised that we were partnering with a company that not only demonstrates exceptional sustainability credentials, but holds the same environmental policy as a business as we do.”
In September 2021, 333 Racing announced that the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) had bestowed the highest award for environmental protection and sustainability on their squad competing in the FIA Formula E World Championship – the NIO 333 Formula E Team. By awarding the Three-Star Environmental Accreditation, the FIA recognised the team’s environmental performance and excellent environmental awareness. From January 2022, Formula E is set for another thrilling ride around the globe. The calendar for the eighth season of the all-electric street racing series encompasses a total of 16 races in 10 exciting worldwide locations, from Diriyah to Vancouver, Monte Carlo, and Seoul.
“We look forward to working with NIO 333 Racing throughout the coming FIA Formula E World Championship season to drive our shared sustainability messaging to an ever-wider audience,” said Dave Noble.
