Tide and Ariel to Donate a Million Antivirus Washes to Frontliners in Hospitals Across Saudi

Leading detergent brands Tide and Ariel have announced plans today to donate one million washes to frontline workers in 54 public and private hospitals across Saudi Arabia before the end of March 2021.

As healthcare workers and first responders fight the pandemic, Tide and Ariel have launched  their COVID-19 relief campaigns: Tide’s “Protect the Protectors” and Ariel’s “Tough for the Toughest”  to supply frontliners and their families across the kingdom with their innovative anti-bacterial fabric-care products that ensure thorough cleaning from all dimensions, eliminating dirt and stains while removing up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

Tide and Ariel have joined hands to inaugurate the donation roadshow that aims to support 52,000 frontline workers across hospitals in Saudi Arabia, as part of the parent company, Procter and Gamble’s recently announced commitment to carry out 2,021 acts of good in 2021.

Ramy Tarshouby, Brand Vice President – Commercial Leader Fabric Care, Laundry, Middle East at Procter and Gamble said: “We are honored to support frontline healthcare providers in Saudi Arabia in any way we can, and we are proud to be one of the first brands that put antibacterial and antivirus detergents on shelves in the country. We strive to be a force for good in our communities and we hope through this donation to enable frontliners to achieve a higher level of health and safety at work around patients and at home around their families.”

During these unprecedented times, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is important. Fabric care products play a role in helping consumers maintain proper hygiene, personal health, and healthy home environments. Tide and Ariel’s antibacterial and antivirus laundry detergents’ properties infiltrate deep between the fibers of fabrics to deliver a deep clean at the microscopic level.

The 2,021 acts of good in 2021 include contributions of health, hygiene and cleaning products, personal protective equipment (PPE), and financial support collectively worth tens of millions of dollars for COVID-19 relief efforts across the world.
