Nissan AMIEO Chairperson, Guillaume Cartier, recently conducted an executive visit to Saudi Arabia for the first time since he took on the role of chairman for Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania region in March. Joni Paiva, Vice President of the AMIO region, also joined Guillaume on this executive trip to the Kingdom. The visit coincided with the Kingdom’s 91st National day, where Cartier and Paiva got the chance to witness the national day festivities and celebrated with the Nissan KSA team and dealers in honor of the Saudi heritage, history, and its bright future.
Commenting on his visit to Saudi Arabia, Guillaume Cartier, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson, said: “I’m delighted to visit the Kingdom and get to know the faces behind our success in the Saudi market, a core market for Nissan in the region. Being here on Saudi National Day was a great opportunity to learn about the rich culture, heritage and traditions of Saudi Arabia and be immersed in the full Saudi experience. From what I’ve seen and learned in the past few days after connecting with the Nissan KSA team as well as our dealers, I am very optimistic and excited for the future of Nissan in Saudi Arabia and the limitless potential for growth and innovation in such an ambitious nation, under the umbrella of the Saudi Vision 2030”.
To ensure a long-term partnership with the dealers, Cartier and Paiva met with Mohammed Yousuf Naghi, Chairman of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Group, which is the holding company of Manahil International, Nissan KSA’s specialized dealer for fleet sales to the government and business enterprises, to discuss the continuation and expansion of the business. They also met with Kalyana Sivagnanam, CEO of Petromin, Nissan KSA’s authorized retail dealer in the Kingdom, and engaged with the frontliners and sales consultants to gain local insights about the KSA market. During their Gemba visit, Cartier and Paiva got a first-hand experience and a glimpse of the customer’s journey at Petromin Nissan’s showrooms.
Bader El Houssami, Managing Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, added: “We were pleased to welcome Guillaume Cartier and Joni Paiva to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and provide them with the Saudi hospitality experience. The Nissan KSA team and our dealers were thrilled to showcase our accomplishments and the nature of our business in Saudi Arabia. With the great advances resulting from the Vision 2030 programs and the transformation of the automotive sector, we look forward to further success and innovation in the Kingdom with Nissan KSA’s continued position as a pioneer in the automotive industry”.
Nissan KSA also arranged for Guillaume Cartier and Joni Paiva to meet with certain governmental entities to strengthen government relations and discuss future plans in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
