In line with the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Nation”, women are encouraged to adopt the slogan “Women Ambitious and Shining for Fifty” in celebration of Emirati Women’s Day for the year 2021.
With thanks to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “May God protect him”, 2021 is the 50th year of the country. “Aafaq Islamic Finance”, the leading institution in the financial sector that provides financial products and services compliant with the provisions of Islamic Sharia organized a lecture via the “Zoom” application, in which Fatima Bu Haroun, Director of Leadership and Government Capabilities Department in the Executive Council of the Government of Umm Al Quwain, expressed appreciation and respect for every Emirati woman.
Mrs. Fatima Bu Haroun addressed in her speech the reality of women’s empowerment in the United Arab Emirates, her distinguished successes in various governmental and private sectors, and her ability to strike a balance between her multiple roles in life. She reviewed the path of development witnessed by the position of women in the country since its establishment and praised all the institutions that contribute to empowering women, in particular “Aafaq Islamic Finance”.
