Influence emobility, the world’s first communications consultancy solely dedicated to e-mobility, is delighted to reveal that Rightcharge is the winner of its acclaimed Start-Up Challenge.
Rightcharge is a UK based company that helps EV drivers find the right charge point and energy tariff combination for their home or business charging needs. It does this via its transparent, easy to use online comparison tool which it hopes will help achieve a saving of 7.5 million tonnes of C02 by 2030.
Second place was awarded to Netherlands based ChargeSim, creators of EV fleet charging modelling software and third spot went to JOLT, a Germany and Ireland based business which is bringing super-fast charging to drivers and fleets in US and European cities.
The Influence emobility Start-Up Challenge was launched in partnership with the founder of Electric Vehicles Outlook, Roger Atkins and was open to any e-mobility business which had been trading for under two years.
It was created to help accelerate the progress of some of the world’s most innovative e-mobility start-ups, by offering free PR support and promotion to the winners. Entrants were judged on several different criteria including technology implementation, response to market demand as well as the level of positive impact their business has on the world.
The full judging panel was carefully picked to ensure that it had input from experts across all the major emobility markets in the world and consisted of:
- Roger Atkins (Founder Electric Vehicles Outlook, Europe)
- Stephanie Medeiros (Global E-Mobility Executive at ABB, Canada)
- David Hilton (Senior Director Global Designs Karma Automotive, North America)
- Michelle Edge (Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Energy Disruptors, North America)
- Dan Marks (Director Fusion Capital, Asia Pacific)
- Geofrey Mutabazi (Founder and CEO of Charge Ko Technologies, Africa)
- Stuart Dyble (Influence emobility CEO, Europe)
- Chas Hallett (Influence emobility Director, Europe)
Roger Atkins, Electric Vehicles Outlook and Chief Judge “A huge thanks to everyone that entered. We had B2B and B2C e-mobility start-ups from all over the world, operating in both established and emerging markets – the range of innovation happening in this space right now is astounding. Congratulations to Rightcharge but kudos must go to all the entrants. All the judges were inspired by what we saw, and it was an extremely difficult task to pick a winner.”
Influence emobility CEO Stuart Dyble “One of the reasons we set up Influence emobility was to utilise our unique mix of automotive and technology communications expertise to help make a tangible difference to those in the emobility space. We’re delighted to be working with Rightcharge and look forward to delivering a first-class PR comms plan to match their first-class business!”
Charlie Cook, CEO and founder of Rightcharge “The world needs electric cars but we also need them to be charged in the cleanest, most cost effective way possible. Being able to tell that message clearly through PR is going to be integral in increasing EV adoption and helping the world transition away from petrol. We’re delighted to be working with Influence emobility and are confident that with their PR support, next year will be our best one yet.”
