All-new MG ZS Transformed into a Manga-inspired Masterpiece at Middle East Film & Comic Con 2025

MG Motor Middle East has made a bold artistic statement at Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) 2025 as the official Automotive Sponsor, with an eye-catching, first-of-its-kind collaboration. Renowned Indonesian illustrator Hendry Prasetya was commissioned by the British-born brand to transform the all-new MG ZS into a rolling Manga-inspired artwork live on-site.

Prasetya, best known for his work on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Robotech, applied his signature Japanese comic style to the ZS, turning the compact SUV into an eye-catching art installation. The final design, a drawing which reflects the unity of man and machine, attracted crowds throughout the weekend, sparking conversation and significant interest from fans and fellow creators.

Commenting on the artwork, Prasetya said: “I’ve illustrated on paper, screens, even walls but never a car. The MG ZS gave me a whole new kind of canvas. There’s something exciting about blending machinery with imagination.”

The MG ZS brings performance and versatility together with two dynamic powertrain options designed to suit a variety of driving styles. Whether it’s the smooth efficiency of the 1.5L engine with 112HP or the spirited punch of the turbocharged version delivering 168HP, drivers can expect a responsive and enjoyable experience. Paired with three selectable Drive Modes, the MG ZS easily adapts to both city streets and open highways, offering a confident and engaging ride every time.

MG also showcased two additional models at the Festival Plaza within ADNEC — the sporty MG HS crossover SUV,which earned 5-star Euro NCAP safety standards, and the acclaimed MG4 Electric — placing the British-born brand at the centre of the region’s largest pop culture celebration. With nearly 35,000 attendees at this year’s event, MEFCC 2025 provided the ideal platform to spotlight MG’s dynamic new models.

Junaid Bukhari, Marketing Director at MG Motor Middle East, commented: “Comic Con represents everything that MG stands for, energy, individuality, and bold imagination. It was the perfect platform for us to engage with a new generation of fans and drivers who value not just mobility, but creative expression. Our collaboration with Prasetya and the presence of our latest models truly captured the spirit of the event. We look forward to continuing to merge culture and cars across the region.”

Middle East Film & Comic Con 2025 was a star-studded affair, welcoming beloved global figures such as Andrew Garfield, Charlie Cox, Grant Gustin, and anime legends Hideo Ishikawa, Kotono Mitsuishi, and Daiki Yamashita. From custom artwork to engaging fan moments, MG Motor’s participation at MEFCC 2025 underlines its position as a youth-driven, forward-thinking brand that continues to connect with new audiences beyond the road.
