The H Dubai Hosts an Inclusive Iftar for Children on the Autism Spectrum and Their Families

As a shining example of inclusive hospitality and the first hotel in the city to earn the Certified Autism Center™ designation, The H Dubai recently organised a special iftar for children on the spectrum and their families. Held on March 5th at Eat & Meat, the event was part of an ongoing partnership with the Georgetown Early Intervention Center. Embracing the essence of Ramadan and celebrating the resilience of children on the spectrum, this gathering marked a significant milestone in the hotel’s dedication to creating a supportive environment for all.

Marking its third year in a row of hosting an iftar with the Georgetown Early Intervention Center , The H Dubai continues a meaningful collaboration with one of the UAE’s most innovative nonprofits supporting children on the autism spectrum. By advancing awareness and providing expert guidance for families and professionals, the Center cultivates a better understanding of autism across the region.

This year’s iftar took place on March 5th and welcomed over 65 guests, including children and families from the Georgetown Early Intervention Center. Hosted in Eat & Meat, the talented chefs prepared a mouthwatering iftar spread complete with Ramadan specialities and international dishes, while little ones enjoyed a special buffet filled with their favourite meals and sweet treats. With a warm and inclusive atmosphere, the evening brought the community together, creating meaningful moments and lasting memories for families during the holy month.

To make the evening even more memorable for young guests, The H Dubai also gifted each child with a special goodie bag to take home, filled with treats and surprises. Supported by the hotel’s attentive team, the children and their families had a wonderful time at the event, bonding with each other over the course of the evening.

Gaith Altahhan at The H Dubai, reflected on the event, saying, ‘It was a pleasure to host such an important community event at The H Dubai, bringing together children and families from the Georgetown Early Intervention Center. Creating inclusive spaces where every guest feels seen and welcomed is at the heart of what we do, and that’s exactly what we aim for with our annual iftar. This initiative also celebrates the incredible resilience of children on the spectrum and reflects our ongoing efforts to support inclusivity in every aspect of our hotel.’

Zahra Al Jasmi, the Managing Director at Georgetown Early Intervention Center, added, ‘We were delighted to be part of this inclusive iftar at The H Dubai. Events like these create meaningful moments for our learners, bringing joy and a real sense of belonging.’

The recent iftar at The H Dubai in collaboration with Georgetown Early Intervention Center was more than just a meal – it was a celebration of inclusivity, connection, and the true spirit of Ramadan. As The H Dubai continues to champion meaningful initiatives like this, it reaffirms the power of hospitality in fostering a more inclusive and understanding world.
