Lucid supported the recent Jeddah E-Prix

CBX, promoter of the 2025 Jeddah E-Prix, recently partnered with Lucid for the Formula E double-header that took place in Saudi Arabia (February 14-15). The Jeddah Corniche Circuit, located on the shores of the Red Sea, hosted Rounds 3 and 4 of this year’s ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Lucid provided its high-performance Lucid Air Sapphire and Lucid Air Grand Touring models for Formula E’s Electric Laps program, where guests experienced an exhilarating passenger lap around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The Lucid Air Sapphire, boasting an astonishing 1,234 horsepower, and the Lucid Air Grand Touring, delivering up to 819 horsepower, showcased their cutting-edge performance on the track.

In the Fan Village, Lucid hosted an interactive booth featuring a Lucid Air vehicle, Lucid’s skateboard platform, and the second-generation Formula E battery, highlighting the brand’s advanced EV technology. Additionally, Lucid vehicles were used for VIP guest movements throughout the Jeddah E-Prix weekend, ensuring a seamless and luxurious transportation experience.

Thousands of fans witnessed the unique experience of 22 world-class Formula E drivers racing the fastest, lightest, most powerful, and most efficient electric race cars ever built. The dual races marked the first time Jeddah had hosted a round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, as the series had previously raced in Diriyah since Season 5.

The new location expanded Formula E’s footprint in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, introducing new audiences to the world of electric racing. Not only was the Jeddah E-Prix the first double-header of Season 11, but it also hosted a Rookie Free Practice session on Thursday, February 13, specifically designed for drivers who have never raced in Formula E before.

Jeddah also marked the first race with Formula E’s revolutionary new PIT BOOST feature. This technology showcased advancements in fast charging while also introducing a new strategic element to the racing. In a 30-second stop, the cars received a 10 per cent energy increase (3.85 kWh) thanks to a 600 kW energy boost.
