The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has hosted the fifth edition of the SEF Awards, “in a celebration of excellence, achievement, and vision”, the organization’s chairman, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, said at the gala event.
Held at the SEF Arena at Boulevard Riyadh City on Friday night, this year’s SEF Awards featured 19 award categories. The black-tie ceremony shone a spotlight on those that have made the biggest impact in the sector, both in Saudi Arabia and globally.
Award categories included: Best Rising Player of the Year; Best Rising Talent of the Year; Best Female Player of the Year, presented by Hilton; Best Club of the Year, presented by Richy; Best Content Creator, presented by SAIB; and Best Roster of the Year, presented by Golden Scent.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal told attendees at this year’s SEF Awards: “Tonight’s SEF Awards is a proud moment for the Kingdom, celebrating the extraordinary talent, creativity, and innovation that are shaping the future of esports. This event embodies Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming a global leader in gaming and esports, fuelled by Vision 2030’s mission to diversify our economy and empower our youth. As we honour the achievements of players, creators and industry pioneers, we are reminded that this is just the beginning — the Kingdom will continue to invest, innovate, and inspire a thriving global esports ecosystem.”
In a year where Saudi Arabia excelled on the global esports scene in the most monumental manner, the SEF Awards fully highlighted the achievements of numerous teams and athletes. Chief among them were Team Falcons’ historic victory at the inaugural Esports World Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia, and Team Saudi’s triumph in the FIFAe World Cup™ Rocket League.

As well as esports professionals and coaches, the SEF Awards recognize the efforts of key contributors to the industry, such as content creators, streamers, coaches and esports professionals. Their efforts are critical to building an inclusive and dynamic esports ecosystem.
