Kia Motors Global President Visits NMC Kia and Celebrates the Exclusive KSA Launch of The Kia Tasman

Saudi Arabia’s most exciting and innovative automotive partnership, NMC-Kia, welcomed  Mr. Ho Sung Song, the global president of KIA MOTORS Corp, alongside his attendance at the Jeddah International Motor Show, and his presence at the global world premiere launch ceremony of the Kia Tasman, hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the very first time.

Receiving Mr. Ho Sung Song at the NMC Kia showroom in Jeddah were Mr. Faisal Al Quraishi, Chairman of NMC Kia, Mr. Hassan Al Shamrani, CEO of United Motor Group, and Mr. Maher El Obeid, CEO of NMC Kia. National Marketing Company (NMC) is the authorized dealership of Kia in KSA.

The visit of the Kia Motors global president to Saudi Arabia acknowledges the growth of the automotive sector in the Kingdom, the increase in customer trust in the Korean brand cars, and the high demand for its diverse vehicle categories and selection.

Maher El Obaid, CEO of NMC Kia, said, “It is an honor to welcome Mr. Ho Sung Song to the NMC Kia showroom. This visit shows the strength of the relations between NMC management and Kia Global. In addition, NMC Kia is committed to Kia Motors’ global standards, and our extensive study of the local market needs alongside the requirements of the Korean brand’s customers has contributed to the record sales increase, and most importantly, gaining customer confidence and satisfaction for our after-sales services here in the Saudi region”

Plans to expand the customer base of the Kia brand within the Saudi market was reviewed during the visit of NMC Kia showroom, with both parties celebrating achievements during previous sales periods, alongside a discussion of the company’s upcoming plans and goals.

NMC Kia also hosted a luncheon for the global president at Sheikh Saeed Al Eisaei Palace, followed by a dinner attended by Kia distributors and media professionals from around the world, who enjoyed a broad discussion on the Korean company’s strategic plan through 2028.

At the Jeddah International Motor Show, Kia unveiled the first Kia ‘double cab’ pickup truck, the Kia Tasman, Kia have conducted the first world premiere launch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, showcasing category expansion for the brand.

Kia will launch the Tasman into the local market during the first half of 2025 before rolling the vehicle out to the Australian market, the Middle East, and Africa.
