Rashid Al Dhaheri is looking to close out his 2024 Formula 4 season with further podium finishes, racing in the ItalianF4 and Euro4 series where he is taking on elite young drivers from around the world.
After his 2nd place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, just two weeks ago, Al Dhaheri is focused on the next round of the Italian F4 series which takes place at the circuit Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain on the 27th September 2024. After Barcelona he has two further races, both at Monza in Italy on the 4th October (Euro 4) and 25th October (Italian F4(, to bring the race season to an end.
In Austria, racing in extremely difficult conditions, Al Dhaheri showed he had the speed and race-craft to beat the best of the world’s up and coming drivers. Italian F4 and Euro 4 are considered to be the most competitive international race formulas with all the drivers looking to achieve the goal of moving into F1. The races bring together 45 drivers, representing over 20 different countries racing for 12 teams, with fractions of a second in lap times separating the cars.
Commenting on the three races ahead of him, Al Dhaheri said: “Every time I take to the track I am always learning and putting the hours of training and preparation to improve my times and finishes. At the Red Bull Ring I was able to dial in the car and reach a new level of performance. We will take this step-forward and look for even better results in Spain. Bringing my Prema Racing Team Yas Heat colored car home in podium positions relies on many people, and my thanks always go out to my team, whose professionalism and dedication is amazing, but I also have to thank my country the UAE and my family for their support and encouragement which is just as important.
“We all have the same vision and ambition which is to keep progressing through the racing formulas until I can become the first Emirati Formula 1 driver. We still have a long way to go, but I am young and very determined and know we can achieve our collective goal.”
Al Dhaheri is currently close to the tops of the drivers’ tables for both the ItalianF4 and the Euro4 series and will look for strong performances in the last three races to push him further up the tables. Through his career, from karting into single-seat cars, Al Dhaheri has always been a winner and his impressive form at the Red Bull Ring underlines his potential.
