Falcons Vega of Saudi Arabia remain on course for a historic Esports World Cup victory after reaching the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational 2024 semi-finals on Friday afternoon.
Already highly fancied to claim the $180,000 first prize, Falcons Vega continued in the same vein of form that saw them reach the quarter-finals without dropping a single game – whitewashing Net Angel of Myanmar 2-0 to set up a last-four clash with French club Team Vitality.
24 hours out from the highly anticipated showdown, victory on Saturday would see Falcons Vega – part of leading Saudi esports club Team Falcons – move within touching distance of winning the first-ever Esports World Cup women’s event.
Falcons Vega are the only team with a perfect unbeaten record in the competition and their bid to extend this run and reach Sunday’s Grand Final gets underway from midday Saturday – live from the incomparable SEF Arena within Boulevard Riyadh City.
The Esports World Cup is the pinnacle of professional esports – running from July 3 – August 25 with 22 tournaments across 21 titles throughout its eight-week duration.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational headlines the Week 4 bill alongside action from Overwatch 2 and the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024.
