Nothing Reveals Hardware Design Winner of Community Edition Project

London-based technology company Nothing announced on May 2nd revealed the Stage 1 winner and the Stage 2 submissions for The Community Edition Project, a first-of-its-kind co-creation initiative that invites community members to design, package, customise and launch a new variant of Phone (2a).

Nothing is excited to announce Kenta and Astrid as the Stage 1: Hardware Design winners. They operate a creative studio together, and collaborated to create their Phone (2a) concept: Phosphorescence. Head to the Nothing’s X/Twitter for more information on the design. Nothing received over 400 submissions before an internal jury selected a winner. They will now embark on the co-creation process alongside Nothing’s Industrial Design Team and R&D team to bring the concept to life.

Elsewhere, Stage 2: Wallpaper Design opens today. Nothing community members can design a series of four wallpapers that seamlessly integrate with the winning hardware design. Colours, patterns and shapes displayed at the front of the phone should continue the story being told at the back.
