Yas Heat Racing continue to make history in this year’s Formula 4 UAE Championship, with a historic race weekend that saw the team’s first victories in the championship to bolster the team’s title hopes after a thrilling weekend at Yas Marina Circuit.
Yas Heat duo, Keanu Al Azhari and Zack Scoular built on their promising start with a sensational second round of the season in Abu Dhabi, with Al Azhari continuing to secure his name in the team’s history books as he became the team’s first driver to win a Formula 4 UAE race.
The 16-year-old would follow up his first victory with his second win in quick succession to close out the round in style, as Al Azhari capped off the weekend in second position in the F4 UAE season standings.
Al Azhari said: “It’s an incredible feeling to get my first win in the Formula 4 UAE Championship. We’ve been close before but to be able to finally capture it and to do it here at Yas Marina Circuit is really special. We’ve had a really positive start to the season, and we’re hoping to keep the momentum going in the coming rounds.”
As the team’s new signing for 2024, Zack Scoular continued his promising start to his debut season with the rookie securing three, Top-10 finishes across the 3-race weekend in Abu Dhabi. Scoular would hold off experienced opponents to secure a Top-8 finish for his best result in Yas Heat colours to date, leading the 16-year-old to third place in the rookie rankings after two rounds.
Scoular said: “I’m really happy with the season so far, and to secure three Top-10 finishes this weekend at home is a personal highlight of my journey so far. We’re racing well as a team so we’re definitely looking to continue that in February.”
The weekend also saw a positive conclusion for Yas Heat Racing Ambassador, Rashid Al Dhaheri as the Emirati star secured two Top-5 finishes to add to his strong start to the campaign. The 15-year-old finishes the weekend in fifth place in the overall season standings.
