TOP RUGBY 7S CAPTAINS LAUNCH NEW HSBC SVNS SERIES WITH ICONIC STUNT ON ‘ONE ZA’ABEEL’

In a thrilling prelude to the Emirates Dubai 7s, captains of the world’s top rugby 7s teams took the game to new heights on One Za’abeel – Dubai’s newest architectural marvel, to mark the start of the newly revamped HSBC SVNS Series in Dubai this week.

Perched on the iconic Longest Sky Cantilevered Building, the captains were harnessed and positioned along the length of the world record breaking cantilever and filmed to capture the teams representing their countries from this new Dubai perspective. Showcasing the city’s stunning skyline, the launch of the HSBC SNVNS series, and the 2023 edition of the Emirates Dubai 7s, this first-of-its-kind stunt sets the stage for an unforgettable weekend of rugby action and off-field activities at the much-anticipated festival.

The Emirates Dubai 7s is set to kick off this Friday, December 1 and run until Sunday, December 3. With Monday declared a public holiday, festival organizers have extended the Sunday night festivities from 6:30pm until 11.45pm. Beats on 2 and the stage will now feature live music and DJ sets until the extended closing time, while the Rugby Rocks after party will keep the fun going until late, with even more crowd favourite singalongs and guitar band tributes.

Similarly, invitational teams in WodOn3, Rebound, Rugby, Netball, and cricket can celebrate their wins as a team late into the evening without worrying about commitments on Monday.

Tickets are available from AED 425, and for only AED 125 more, sports fans and festivalgoers can take advantage of the final chance to buy a three-day pass and immerse themselves in a full weekend of exhilarating matches, entertainment, music, food, and family experiences.
