The much-anticipated sixth leg of the Mashreq Padel Tour, the country’s first dedicated community tournament series for amateurs, took place this weekend in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Organised by the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA), the national governing body of padel in the Emirates, the event drew overwhelming participation, reflecting the burgeoning popularity of padel in the capital.
Taking place from October 13-15 at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort, the championship featured intense competitions across the UAEPA 10 Men’s category. The tournament concluded with a gripping final as Hamad Alhosani and Hani Alsaadi emerged victorious with a commanding 2-0 victory over Nasser Alketbi and Rashid Alhammadi. The winning duo secured Dh4,000, while second place took home Dh3,000, and third and fourth received Dh1,000.
Eisa Sharif Almarzooqi, Head of Finance at the UAEPA, expressed his enthusiasm for the incredible success of the Abu Dhabi event.
