Wait time for Careem rides drops 20% to an average of 3 minutes over the past year

Careem, the region’s leading multi-service app, records a 20 percent drop in the average estimated time of arrival (ETA) of rides to 3 minutes over the past year. In line with its commitment to reliability and flexibility, Careem has increased its car availability at the time of booking to 96% in Q3 2023, up from 88% in Q3 2022.

Careem enables over 10 million registered customers across Saudi Arabia to move within and across cities, order food, and access house cleaning service, all at the tap of a phone.

Careem is present at 13 airports in Saudi Arabia where millions of tourists, commuters, residents, and frequent flyers rely on the ride-hailing service. Careem completed over 430,000 trips to and from Saudi airports in 2022.

Careem For Business (C4B) simplifies the daily commute for corporate employees, saving valuable time that would otherwise be spent driving and locating parking spots. Careem provides an average of 50,000 commutes a month for over 100 private and public organizations around KSA through C4B.

Careem recently partnered with King Abdullah Financial District Development and Management Company (KAFD DMC) to simplify the travel experience for residents and visitors of KAFD, the country’s prime business and lifestyle hub.

Careem has over 2.5 million registered Captains across the region. Over SAR 529 million (over $141 million) was paid out in earnings to Captains in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
