Gamers8: The Land of Heroes, the biggest gaming and esports festival worldwide, is delighted to offer gamers an exclusive opportunity to test the latest star of action favorite Street Fighter 6 – Rashid the Turbulent Wind, the legendary franchise’s first Arabic-inspired character.

Rashid storms onto the scene with new and classic moves characterized by parkour and lightning quick movement, stunning competitors with his acrobatic attacking style. Rashid ithe 19th fighter in the fearless, battle-hardened roster of Street Fighter 6 characters, adding to favorites such as Ryu, Blanka, and Guile.

In association with the Saudi Esports Federation, Street Fighter 6 publisher Capcom is offering an exclusive opportunity for Gamers8: The Land of Heroes festival visitors to test Rashid from July 20-23 at Boulevard Riyadh City before his official release.

First released in the summer of 1987, Street Fighter is one of the highest-grossing video game franchises of all time and a staple of gaming folklore that has flourished over the decades. Having Rashid in the roster of fighters will delight fans in the region and far beyond – with gamers expected to descend on Boulevard Riyadh City for a first chance to try out all his fighting attributes.

Rashid will be available for gaming action at Gamers8’s community venue, where Street Fighter 6 stations will be provided within the lounge area for eager fans to battle it out. In the interest of fairness, participants in the elite Street Fighter 6 tournament, which takes place at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes from August 10-13 with a $1 million prize pool, are prohibited from playing.

Influencer show matches will also be set up between July 20-23 to demonstrate Rashid’s Street Fighter 6 abilities.

Gamers8: The Land of Heroes recap

Organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, eight-week long Gamers8: The Land of Heroes has a prize pool of $45 million – triple that of Gamers8 last year. The biggest gaming and esports festival worldwide features 15 elite esports tournaments from 12 top titles, as well as community gaming and educational platforms. These are complemented by live concerts from top global, regional, and local artists, as well as numerous fun-filled activities and attractions for all the family.

The festival concludes with the Next World Forum, a gaming and esports forum held at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Center on August 30-31, that brings together sector leaders and experts from around the world.
