In celebration of the opening of World Art Dubai on 7th April, Dubai-based designer, Art Curator and Philanthropist Behnood Javaherpour announces the opening of The Behnoode Museum and Art Academy, the first-ever interactive and immersive museum and art academy in Kashan, Iran.
Located at Kashan in Iran, The Behnoode Museum and Art Academy brings something fresh to the historical district of Kashan, boasting a contemporary design filled with echoes of the past and classic Persian hospitality.
The Behnoode Museum and Art Academy will open in Kashan at the end of 2022.
The new museum and art academy will combine elements of immersive theatre, interaction, and exhibition with the latest art technologies. Visitors can expect an interactive experience with many prototypes and great innovations from Persian and Middle Eastern art and all over the world. Also, there are changing courses, workshops, and lectures alongside the exhibitions.
Thematically, you can expect historical art from different areas such as public services, health care, and climate change in the new museum. The museum focuses on the question, “How Persian and Middle Eastern arts and culture changed the world and what is its role for the future?”
Situated in one of Iran’s royal districts, the new Behnoode Museum and Art Academy has combined the old with the new inside a historic 500 year old royal palace that is given a new lease of life with modern and unique interiors.
Stepping inside this architecture, you feel style and elegance oozing from the walls. The square courtyard visible from the lobby, brings to life the property that, despite its size has an authentic boutique feel.
“The museum will be a hotbed of ideas, a driving force for innovation and a destination for inventors and entrepreneurs from around the world. It will also be a sanctuary to nurture young talents and prepare them for the world.” said Behnood Javaherpour, Founder of Behnoode Museum and Art Academy
“The new architecture is conceived as an urban destination, and channels the history and culture of the royal Persia in its service, design and offering. For example, its material palette reflects the natural environment of Kashan, with wooden details and crisp fabrics embodying the appeal of traditional royal Persian architecture.” added Behnood
Inside the Museum and Art Academy
In addition to art, science and technology, the museum also focuses on society. The main focus is on how culture will change by the latest technology and its support in everyday life.
A further topic the museum deals with is the future of Middle East Arts. Among other things, the exhibition deals with the following questions: “What is the future of Middle East Art?” and “What will Middle East art look like in the next 35-50 years?”
Besides the permanent exhibitions, the museum also offers space for temporary exhibitions dealing with questions concerning the future of the Middle East art scene.
Also, the Museum is much more than a museum: It offers a worldwide contact point for young talents, companies, and people interested in art and technology. In addition to professional exchange, participants will also find competent support for the implementation of forward-looking ideas.
