Step into the enchanting world of Japamura: A magical take on Japanese culture at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes

With a full floor dedicated to cosplay, traditional drum shows, and the opportunity to decorate Uchiwa fans, the Japamura presented by Abdul Latif Jameel Motors zone at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes is a fascinating place to learn more about Japan and Japanese culture.

Wear traditional Japanese dress at the Yukata experience, try the Matcha tasting ceremony, relax at Tea Corner, or enjoy the most delicious ramen and sushi at the Yumakuramen kitchen. In addition, a spend time at a Shodo class, the art of traditional Japanese calligraphy, or an origami lesson to learn the exquisite arts at the Japamura Academy featuring expert instructors flown in from Japan.

Theres also Wadaiko, or Taiko for short, the large drums from the Land of the Rising Sun’ that provide the most incredibly inspiring noise and make the perfect soundtrack for the traditional stage shows.

For something extra special, try the Samurai Dojo where you can dress up in the outfits of the legendary Japanese warriors and battle it out with wooden swords.

Japamura, which is part of the extensive Amusepillar at this summers festival, runs throughout the duration of Gamers8: The Land of Heroes at Boulevard Riyadh City until August 31. Admission begins from SAR70 per person, with more details available here.

Eight-week long Gamers8: The Land of Heroes has a prize pool of $45 million triple that of Gamers8 last year and features 15 elite esports tournaments from 12 top titles. There are live concerts from more than 20 local, regional, and international artists, more than 1,000 activities and attractions, festivals, shows, community gaming, education platforms, and fun for all ages.

The festival concludes with the Next World Forum, a gaming and esports forum held at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Center on August 30-31, that brings together sector leaders and experts from around the world.
