QS World University Rankings 2024: AUS among top 25 percent of institutions globally and first in employer reputation in the UAE

American University of Sharjah’s (AUS) reputation of excellence continues to grow globally with AUS named among the top 25 percent of global institutions, moving up five spots in its global ranking, according to QS World University Rankings 2024. This year’s ranking system reviewed the performance of 2,963 institutions from around the world.

Among UAE universities, AUS also ranked first in employer reputation; second in academic reputation, research citations per faculty and international faculty; and third in employment outcomes and international students according to QS. It also advanced globally in its employer reputation by 29 spots, academic reputation by 19 spots and citations per faculty by 34 spots.

AUS’ top employer reputation stems from its commitment to nurturing leaders who are capable of making an impact on their communities and the world. AUS alumni are a testimony to the quality of education the university offers, allowing them to thrive in an ever-changing world. AUS alumni are sought after by multinational corporations and prestigious universities the world over with many working as government and business leaders, successful entrepreneurs, industry movers and shakers, and respected academics and researchers in some of the most prestigious universities around the world.

AUS has been ranked among the top 10 Arab universities by QS Arab Region​ University Rankings every year for the past eight consecutive years (2023). It is also number one in the UAE in accounting, finance, business and management studies, architecture and the built environment, art and design, and civil and structural engineering (tied), according to QS World Subject Rankings (2023). It is also among the top universities in the UAE in areas of electrical ​and electronic ​engineering; mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing ​engineering; chemical ​engineering; and computer science and information systems, according to the same ranking.
